Editorial Policy
Last updated: April 1, 2026
NEWSLETTERFORXXY is committed to delivering accurate, fair, and independent journalism. This Editorial Policy sets out the standards and principles that govern our newsroom.
1. Our Mission
NEWSLETTERFORXXY exists to inform the public with fast, accurate, and contextualised reporting on politics, world affairs, business, technology, sports, and culture. We believe a well-informed public is the foundation of a healthy democracy.
2. Independence
Our editorial decisions are made independently of commercial, political, or advertiser influence. Advertisers have no input into editorial content. Our journalists and editors are free to pursue stories in the public interest without interference.
3. Accuracy & Verification
Before publication, all factual claims are verified against primary sources wherever possible. We use at least two independent sources for significant factual assertions. When a single source must be used, this is disclosed to readers. We do not publish rumour or speculation as fact.
4. Fairness & Impartiality
We seek comment from all parties named or implicated in a story before publication. Where comment is not received, this is noted in the article. On matters of significant public controversy, we aim to represent a range of credible perspectives.
5. Transparency
We clearly distinguish between news reporting, analysis, and opinion. Opinion pieces are labelled as such and represent the views of the named author, not NEWSLETTERFORXXY as an institution. Sponsored or branded content is clearly labelled "Sponsored" and is kept separate from editorial content.
6. Conflicts of Interest
Journalists and editors must disclose any personal, financial, or professional interest in stories they cover. Where a conflict cannot be managed, the journalist will be recused from that story.
7. Sources & Anonymity
We protect the identity of confidential sources. Anonymous sourcing is used only when the information is in the public interest, cannot be obtained on the record, and the source's identity has been verified by an editor. We do not pay sources for information.
8. Sensitive Reporting
We follow industry best practices when reporting on suicide, mental health, sexual violence, and other sensitive topics, including adherence to Samaritans Media Guidelines and relevant press standards. We exercise particular care when reporting on minors.
9. Social Media
NEWSLETTERFORXXY journalists are expected to uphold the same standards on social media as in their published work. Personal social media accounts must be clearly distinguished from official NEWSLETTERFORXXY accounts.
10. Complaints & Corrections
We take complaints seriously. If you believe we have made an error or acted in breach of this policy, please contact editorial@NEWSLETTERFORXXY.com. See our Corrections Policy for how we handle factual errors.
